What's the difference between an original painting and a print?

An original is a one-of-one artwork created by T.J. France using the materials and techniques described with the piece. A print is a high-quality reproduction of an original work, allowing select pieces to be collected at a more accessible price point.

What is the difference between the Fine Art Print, Wrapped Canvas, and Framed Canvas options?

Premium Fine Art Print

Printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper, a premium heavyweight fine-art paper with a soft, textured finish designed to beautifully reproduce the detail and depth of the original artwork. Each print includes a 1-inch white border and arrives unframed and rolled securely in a protective tube.

Wrapped Canvas Print

The artwork is printed on canvas and stretched over a 38mm wooden frame, creating a finished, dimensional piece that arrives ready to hang without requiring additional framing.

Wrapped & Framed Canvas Print

For a more elevated, gallery-style presentation, the stretched 38mm canvas is finished with a sleek floating frame. The subtle space between the canvas and frame creates a polished, dimensional appearance while allowing the artwork to remain the focus. It arrives ready to hang, with multiple frame color options available to complement both the artwork and your space.

Are the prints signed?

Prints ordered directly through the website are not individually signed. However, signed prints are available upon request. Because signed pieces require additional handling before shipment, please allow for additional processing and delivery time. If you would like your print signed, please contact us prior to placing your order so arrangements can be made.

Are original paintings available for purchase?

Yes. Select original works are available for acquisition, including some that may not be listed for direct purchase online. If you are interested in a particular original, please submit an inquiry with the artwork's title to confirm availability, pricing, and acquisition details.

Do original paintings come with a Certificate of Authenticity?

Yes. Original artworks purchased directly from T.J. France include a signed Certificate of Authenticity documenting the artwork's title, year, medium, dimensions, and authenticity.

Can I purchase a piece that isn't currently available for sale on the website?

Not every artwork featured on the website is available for direct purchase online, but inquiries are always welcome. Some works may be available as originals, while select pieces not currently offered as prints may be available by request. If there is a particular piece you are interested in, please submit an inquiry with the artwork's title to explore available options.

Do you accept commissions?

Yes, although a very limited number of commissions are accepted based on availability, project scope, and alignment with my artistic practice. Commissioned works are created in my established style, with creative license remaining an important part of the process.

If you are interested in commissioning an original work, please submit an inquiry with your desired size, general vision, timeline, and any other relevant details. We'll discuss the concept together to ensure my work is the right fit for what you have in mind, and the overall direction will be agreed upon before the piece is created.
